Cultivate Advisory Services is a registered Women Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts founded by Amy Ferraro Whitsett.
Amy has spent nearly 30 years as a management consultant working in mostly the public and nonprofit sectors. She has worked with health and human service agencies and nonprofits across the country, as a cost allocation and funding expert, and in a variety of other capacities. She provides cost allocation review and development, indirect cost rate review and development, revenue recovery, and related training and consulting services. She is a subject matter expert in the recovery of Medicaid and Title IV-E administrative costs and the intersection of these programs with other health and human services and public health programs and funding sources. She previously worked at large national consulting firms in leadership positions.
She also works with nonprofits and small businesses providing fiscal, process review, social media, and event planning services.
Amy serves the Marketing Manager for the Andover Farmers Market in Andover, Massachusetts and as the Advisory Council Chair of Uncommon Threads, a women's empowerment organization in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Cultivate Services LLC worked with Uncommon Threads on its 3rd annual fundraising gala, Dress to Impress, in September 2020. This event went virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic and raised the same amount of funds as the prior year's live event. Amy continues to volunteer with the annual gala. Amy is also is a third generation participant in the Framingham Heart Study and has previously served as a class agent for Phillips Academy, Andover and fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Amy has a master’s degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree cum laude in Politics from Mount Holyoke College. She received a certificate in Health and Wellness through eCornell and the Cornell University Division of Nutritional Sciences and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at the University of South Florida, Muma College of Business.
Amy also operates Cultivate Cleaner to educate about chemicals present in personal care and household products and help individuals make informed changes that can reduce their health risks. As Cultivate Cleaner, she makes and sells jewelry, coasters, ornaments, and more using upcycled, vintage, and responsibly sourced materials, which feeds her need to create. Learn more here.
